Meta Restaurant
Overview
Begun as Chef Sun Kim’s vision of dining as hosting, Meta’s new home balances culinary artistry with a sense of intimacy. An open kitchen anchors the space, encouraging direct exchange between chef and diner. Durable finishes, including Cosentino countertops, support high traffic use.
Lighting in warm tones softens the atmosphere, while details drawn from Korean bronze ware and pottery infuse cultural depth into the contemporary setting.

Meta was designed as an open kitchen first, restaurant second. The layout reflects the idea of hosting over service, placing the chef and guests in the same space without separation.

The entrance moves at its own pace. A curved wall leads toward the wine cellar, where fluted glass and stone shift the light gently. Seating is arranged for ease, and the ceiling lifts without drawing attention.

The kitchen is fully exposed. Nothing is hidden.

Bronze, ceramic, and stone guide the material rhythm. Even the bathrooms follow this tone, with mirrored corridors and broken light. Each element plays its part without needing to speak louder than the food.
